Mission & Values

Help high-risk organizations learn faster from what goes wrong so they can prevent what comes next.

Safety organizations do some of their most important learning after something has already gone wrong. The quality of that learning determines whether the same conditions, control failures, and corrective-action patterns continue to repeat. The principles below describe both why we build Haven and how we build it.

Point of view

Learning should not end when the investigation closes.

An incident creates evidence. An investigation creates understanding. Corrective actions create a response. But the organization only learns when that understanding changes what happens next.

Our mission is to help organizations carry the knowledge from one event into the next investigation, the next operational decision, and the next prevention effort.

Role of AI

AI should make safety reasoning stronger, not less accountable.

We believe AI can help people organize complex evidence, identify gaps, reason across organizational history, and surface patterns that are difficult to see manually.

We also believe accountable people must remain responsible for safety conclusions and decisions. Haven is designed around that principle.

What success means

The measure is not how much AI is used.

The measure is whether investigations become more consistent, whether quality becomes more visible, whether recurring failures are recognized earlier, and whether the organization becomes better at preventing recurrence.

That is the outcome Haven is being built to support.

Our Values

The principles behind how Haven builds AI for high-risk operations.

VALUE 01

Precision over plausibility

In safety-critical work, an answer that merely sounds reasonable is not enough. Evidence, assumptions, causal reasoning, and uncertainty should remain visible. We build for traceability and clarity, not confident-sounding output.

VALUE 02

Learning over closure

Closing an incident record is an administrative milestone. The real objective is to carry the lesson forward. We design Haven so completed investigations become part of the organization's growing body of knowledge.

VALUE 03

Human accountability stays human

AI can organize information, surface patterns, test reasoning, and suggest questions. Accountable people must remain responsible for safety conclusions, corrective actions, and operational decisions.

VALUE 04

Operational relevance matters

Safety technology has to work in real operating environments, with existing systems, company procedures, imperfect data, and practical constraints. We prioritize usefulness over novelty.

VALUE 05

Trust is earned through transparency

Enterprise safety teams need to understand why a system surfaced a finding, where the information came from, and what evidence supports it. Explainability and auditability are product requirements, not optional features.

VALUE 06

Build for the learning system, not the isolated task

We want each investigation, quality review, corrective action, and historical lesson to strengthen what the organization knows next. The platform should improve the system, not just automate a step.
